Kristen Kordecki

Kristen is a plant biogeographer by training and a conservation professional and fundraising leader. Her career has focused on bringing people together to protect natural resources and build lasting conservation partnerships.

She previously served with the U.S. Geological Survey in a shared position with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, working as a watershed coordinator for the state of Louisiana. She also has experience as a university corporate and foundation development officer.

Kristen has worked with landowners, agricultural producers, scientists, outdoor recreation planners, and conservation practitioners in Illinois, Louisiana, and Georgia. Building conservation partnerships and connecting people, ideas, and resources to advance conservation are at the heart of her work.

Kristen is a small landowner herself, living in a cabin in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains with her rescue dog, Birdie.
