Help the Coosa River Basin Initiative Win $50,000 for the Etowah River
Redwood Creek Wines Greater Outdoors grant contest is awarding $50,000 to the organization that receives the most votes by August 31, 2010. CRBI made it through the initial round and if they get more votes than their nine competitors, they win $50,000 to improve recreational access on the Etowah River.
There are only five existing access points, ranging from primitive to improved, along the 160 mile course of the Etowah River. This grant along with $25,000 already earmarked for the project will provide necessary funding to improve access. Public access increases awareness of the unique and diverse ecosystems of this precious Georgia resource.
